Tallac & Canal
Tallac and Flume shoes are the big news here, as they’re brand new for this spring. As the latest addition to Ride Concepts’ trail and all-mountain lineup, the Tallac (men’s) and Flume (women’s) shoes are available in flat and clip-on options as well as BOA and traditional lace-up models.
The shoes are Ride Concepts’ first releases that incorporate seamless Cordura uppers, and the clip-on version has an extended cleat channel for plenty of adjustment options. Weighing between 365g (Flume Lace-Up Flat Pedal) and 570g (BOA Tallac Clip Pedal), the Flume and Tallac fit into the Ride Concepts range as sturdy all-around shoes.

Then come the Hellion Elite and Hellion Clip. Available in men’s and women’s versions, the Hellion shoe is Ride Concepts’ lightest shoe, and it’s now available in a clip-on version. The shoe has been upgraded with an antimicrobial lining and a microfiber upper that promises to use at least 30% recycled plastic.

A few notches up the beefy-meter, the Traverse is Ride Concepts’ new women’s gravity shoe for enduro and downhill riders. There’s D3O material under and around the foot, with a shock-absorbing sockliner and a collar around the inside of the ankle.

Vice
Ride Concepts’ lifestyle and BMX shoe gets an update as Caroline Buchanan’s signature shoe. The sole has a waffle “inverted hexagon” pattern, which Ride Concepts says brings the pedal closer to the rider (but not too close) and a microfiber synthetic upper.

The Livewire is Ride Concepts’ classic must-have shoe, designed to fit the whole family, as it’s available in men’s, women’s and youth sizes. For this year, the outsole has been upgraded with the most grippy Max Grip rubber compound, but the shoe retains the rest of its simplicity, with a lace-up closure and elastic shoelace to keep things tidy.
