Stuart Weitzman and Disney have a magical announcement.
The eponymous luxury shoe brand and the entertainment giant have come together for an exclusive capsule collection, merging their most classic codes into a line that unites Disney fans and shoe enthusiasts. The collection highlights the philosophy of the two brands which calls for inspiration, originality and happiness.
The upcoming line includes Stuart Weitzman’s most recognized shoe styles featuring silhouettes of iconic Disney characters, such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, that have captivated audiences over the decades since their debut in 1928. The collection includes sneakers, sandals, boots, slippers and loafers.
Captured in Village East by Angelika, one of New York’s most acclaimed movie theaters, the accompanying Magic at the Movies campaign merges Disney’s rich history in the movie world with Stuart Weitzman’s red carpet legacy. . Weitzman’s designs have been spotted on Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Meghan Markle, Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Aniston.
Featuring Lindsey Wixon, the campaign sees the model sporting a reimagined version of Weitzman’s signature Livy Sneaker with Disney favorites Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Daffy Duck, Goofy and Pluto embroidered across the shoe’s midsole. The range also features the outlines of Mickey Mouse’s face and ears as Swarovski crystal embellishments.
Loafers follow a similar arrangement, with Swarovski crystals appearing on its strap in black; red crystals form Minnie Mouse’s bow.
The collection will launch globally on August 15 on Stuartweitzman.com and in select Stuart Weitzman boutiques while supplies last.
