Draper James launches his first shoe collection.

Spring is finally here, and what better way to welcome the warmer weather than with a little wardrobe refresh? It’s time to put away those winter boots and put your best foot forward in some more seasonal footwear, which is why Draper James’ new launch couldn’t come at a better time.

Reese Witherspoon’s preppy lifestyle brand is getting into the shoe game and launching its first-ever solo shoe collection. While Draper James has collaborated with other brands, including Keds and Mr. Gemi, on shoe drops in the past, this is the first time the brand has launched a solo shoe collection.

“We’ve collaborated with shoes before and seen a huge appetite for our brand’s effortless femininity and upbeat style in shoe form,” Kathryn Sukey, Design Manager at Draper James, told Observer. “The line is full of Draper James signatures: from gingham to chambray, pops of color and beautiful feminine details, including floral appliqués and bows.”

The new 37-piece Draper James shoe collection consists of ballet flats, espadrilles, slingbacks, sandals, kitten heels, trainers and evening shoes, all offered in a range of must-have Draper fabrics and patterns James, including Prepster-approved plaid prints and florals, as well as solid shades of pink, beige, blue, and yellow.

There are also new bags.

“This collection embodies our brand’s ‘look good, feel good, do good’ ethos, which is at the forefront of every new piece we launch,” Sukey explained. “The classic feminine polish that Draper James is known for is found in every detail of our shoe and handbag designs. We are thrilled to finally be able to offer our client Draper James a complete head-to-toe look.

It’s a big collection, but some of the standout pieces include adorable blue gingham trainers, pretty pink chunky heel sandals with an ankle strap and whimsical bow, floral ballet flats and leather slides beige. The price of the shoes ranges from $80 for the criss-cross sandals to $135 for an open-toe kitten heel adorned with flowers.

Alongside the debut shoe collection, Draper James is also expanding its handbag category, with 16 new pieces, including a summer-ready straw handbag, roomy beach-friendly bags and zip-up handbags. smaller leatherette ones, which range in price from $60 to $120.
