Very low angst, very little romance, very little detail.


I’m thinking of fashioning my set up with a chain and wearing uastenland around my neck. Overall, this is a great, fun book full of witty, sharp characters and an entertaining plot.

I get to read about it. I like the story and the adaptation. I enjoyed it a more than you did, but, at the time, had no idea there was a whole Austen-related industry. In the interim, she submitted short stories and novels to magazines and publishers, saving all her rejection letters which she has since laminated into one continuous foot roll which she proudly unfurls to audiences as a testament to her dedication and determination.

But when a wealthy relative bequeaths her a trip to an English resort catering to Austen-crazed women, Jane’s fantasies of meeting the perfect Regency-era gentleman suddenly become realer than she ever could have imagined.

Well- I answer- she realises that her Wickham is really a plot point made up by the Organiser-dragon-lady, because not all the ‘guests’ there want to romance english gentlemen who are Darcy’s facsimiles.
